On Things You Cannot Make Up

"So what's he like?"

"He's nice. Really kind, a triathlete, owns his own architecture firm, does humanitarian work in third world countries."

"Wow, does he have time to date?"

"I guess so. He has time to ask people out, at least."

"Where did you meet?"

"The office of a non-profit I work with. He was dropping off donations before leaving for the airport."

"Where was he going?"

"To visit his grandmother, and then climb Mt. Rainier."

"Oh my God, if you tell me he likes puppies and kittens, too, I'm going to puke."

"I'm watching his dog while he's gone."

"Quick, get me a bucket."

Ah...too funny! Are there really guys out there like that? I thought that was made up on TV shows as a joke on occasion!

Wow. That's all I can say.

Maybe he even has friends like that, too.

Oooooh this sounds quite interesting and exciting. Grandmas, Mt. Rainer, architect. Bingo - perfect.

Cute. Promising. Exhilarating. Almost too good to be true.

Oh thank God you're watching the dog and you don't have to climb that mountain! Keep us posted, this one sounds......GOOD!

Wait! Mt. Rainier is less than 50 miles from here - I can run over and check him out! In fact today I was within 20 miles of the mountain - darn!

Oh I do hope you are the dog watcher in this conversation and not the question asker.

...Definitely an axe murderer.

For God's sake - don't let him take you up the mountain!

Lol...you may not be able to make such things up, but beleive me, others can! I hope that he turns out to be a true gem...you'll have to keep us posted! People like this do exist. Doing good things and surrounding yourself with other people doing good things, you're bound to meet some really good guys. Sounds kinda serious, because I can't imagine someone leaving their dog with just anyone! He obviously has trust in you.

Hmm. Mt. Rainier climber, Engineer, Ultrarunner, dog walker, neice/nephew babysitter, trail work volunteer etc. I must be a good guy or are architects only good guys? I deal with them on a daily basis and I'm not sure I see the difference, oh, except that they can't add!

So, confused! But very intrigued.
