My head is a box of bricks

Oh, L.A., you gave me so much.

First, I learned that the term "breast aug" is common. Doctors use it in commercials. Forget that it's actual surgery, with actual anesthesia and actual risks. We need to save a few syllables to conserve commercial time. Also, the first 80 callers get a "free limo ride to and from surgery." Oh, boy. Thank you for reminding me I'm happy with what I have.

Second, I can drive like a maniac. I try not to but sticking me in the middle of traffic like that and asking me to mind my manners might be like throwing me in a pool and asking me not to kick. Thank you for giving me my attitude back.

Third, I must always look like I didn't pay a bit of attention to the outfit I assembled today although a) I totally agonized for hours and b) it costs more than a mortgage payment. Such a cliche, I know. Thank you for reminding me I'm cheap.

Forth, I got a cold late yesterday and therefore this post along with the comments I've been leaving on other sites all morning probably make little to no sense. I suppose saying "I never get sick" just sounds whiny and pathetic right now. Thanks for taking my brains, in less than four days.

Fifth, I got some sun. And wore flip flops in February. That made it all worth it.

Oh so jealous of your sun and wearing of summer footwear...And hey, watch where you're leaving those germs all over the internet...hope you washed your hands. I know what you mean though about the sick. I honestly thought I wasn't going to get my cold this winter, it just came late. Take Cold-eze, airbourne and Halls Defense with zinc...they seriously shorten the duration!

If I didn't adore you already... I'd hate you right now.

i always catch a cold when i travel. without fail. ugh! i hope you feel better right quick.

i hate going to la, even though i have people i adore there, because i always feel like a fashion misfit when i am there. in seattle or in santa cruz, i never felt THAT unfashionable but something about LA rubs me the wrong way. :)

L.A. sounds like such a hoot - find an online LA radio station - the commercials are like the one your talked about. Flip-flops in February? Dang, I'm jealous!

Ooooh...flip flops. Only time I get to wear them in February is at the gym locker room. Yeah LA...I guess it does have a strange way of sucking your brain out and implanting in your chest. Way too much work to live the shallow life. It's a good thing even a city like LA has rural areas where people are (somewhat) normal. And when in doubt...go to Disney and Universal! So worth the trip. :)

So - you are pleased with your looks, proud of your attitude, unhappy with wardrobe issues, temporarily not in best shape, in love with the sun. Everything that is not essentially you can be remedied. Everything that is esentially you is fine.

It's all worth is for the sun. Even the stupid Ca germs that give everyone a cold and cause us to drop syllables.
