Because it has always been true

As autumn is all too soon coming to an end, I'm reminded of how I've always loved it. It makes me happy and it's not just because my birthday is this month. It's just a lovely time to embrace change.

It's also a lovely time to look back on Summer. On all the summers, really. The good times that were had, the warmth and the freedom. If there's one thing that I've always been true to, it's my love of summer.

And it seems we really are always true to ourselves. Yes, we can change but at the same time, what we honestly feel at the core of who we are never really does.

Winter is coming, and I'm not happy about it.

Those are way too cute. Isn't there SOMEthing you like about winter? Maybe at least gingerbread cookies?

Gosh....I couldn't agree with you more! Fall is a wonderful way to exit the summer & Spring is beautiful for welcoming it back...it is the cold bite of winter that really hurts, making all other seasons even more valuable.
SAD ~ seasonal affective disorder.
Some folks love the winter ... not me!

Great pics! Too cute!

You're right, our core doesn't change too much. It's more like it stays the same, just acquiring slight impressions along the ride.

Ah, come on. Winters not so bad. Warm fires, holidays, food, friends, skiing, sleigh rides (not that I've ever been on a sleigh ride).

Winter has it's perks!
