(Look closely, those are balloons. Isn't that cool or am I just too easily amused?)
An open road. Few things entice me more. Even sleep-deprived, in pain and having skipped breakfast, I couldn't wait to run down this.
What sight makes you feel like hitting the road?

I wouldn't.
Though driving to those hills and biking sounds amazing.
that's a beautiful picture. the ocean/water has a similar effect on me. makes me want to just get away, run (or swim?) towards something else. or away from something, to something. just an escape, you know?
i love that we both posted photos and questions on our blogs today. hee hee.
it's not a road but a body of water for me. i always want to dive in!
JACC- hey, hit the road doesn't have to mean running. Biking down that would be too good!
Brooke- Oh I understand that... the ocean is the best fuel for that feeling.
Sizzle- I know, I felt like such a copycat! I get the water thing, too. Most definitely.
For me it's big open fields filled with wildflowers - I want to run and frolic. Or city blocks filled with people, I want to meet them all!
Cool photo. Did you have fun running down that road?

There's nothing like running along the seawall around Vancouver's world famous Stanley Park. Massive fir trees on one side, ocean on the other side and the Lions Gate Bridge hundreds of feet above your head.
For me, there is something inviting about a path, partially hidden, disappearing into the woods. I also love city streets yet to be explored.
A shady path with the morning sun peaking through the canopy of leaves, a river running along one side, and a couch and a beer at the other end, sounds pretty great to me.
Great picture. Can I ask where it was taken?
What makes me want to run? A trail - I'm a sucker for a wooded (safe) fairly flat trail run with shade from the trees... and no bugs :)
that is awesome. very enticing.
looks peaceful.
I'm in.
Seems like the only traffic you'd hit might be wandering livestock.
I like wooded trails too - like not necessarily knowing what's around the next corner.
how was the run?
Skipping breakfast is just fine. Before running, that is, not on any other day. But this looks hot. Do you have some paths in the shade?

I'd say probably an ocean with a trail alongside it...or a tree covered path near a lake...
Wow! I do want to run down that road!
Great pic!
