apropos of nothing...

UPDATE: Here is what the bag looks like. Sort of. I'm at work and therefore without said handbag or lovely camera. (Also, NOTE: I did not buy it and I am pretty sure that wasn't the price anyway. I love purses, but I love deals more.)

I agree with all those that said warm weather ought to make my decision. I'll be in Virgina Beach, which (apparently) can go either way so I suppose playing it by ear (and secretly planning on bringing whatever dang purse I want anyway) seems logical.

Funny the "dilemmas" a week can bring, eh?

I need help from all of you fashionistas and tasteful people out there.

Can I start carrying what would probably be perceived as a "Spring handbag" on March 15th? I'm traveling mid-March and want to bring my new purse, dang it.

(I'm totally and completely distracted but working on an update from my last post. The dream will not die though, you know me.)

Go for it! I realized last spring that I had carried my summer purse all through the winter, because it was just so handy. So this year, I didn't bother to switch. Umm, maybe I can't be called a fashionista.

If you are going somewhere warm and southern (as I know you often do) we don't tend to have such silly things. We tend to do the same basic thing all year...(I think e.b. is better at this than me from her pics so she may disagre...Heck I don't even carry a purse..but I have seen others keep with the same thing)

okay. I've got issues with this one. it's your life. there are no rules, except the ones you choose to adhere to. who the heck cares what anyone else thinks? if you've got a cool new purse, and you like it, and you are excited about it, then heck! by ALL means! Go for it! what have you got to lose? reality says, possibly scorn from someone who thinks they are better? (they only think that because they have no self-confidence) Carpe diem!

I think we need a photo of this spring handbag in order to make an informed decision.

Funny that you mention purses, because on my way to workout this morning, I was thinking, "it's time to go purse shopping!"

Anyhoo, here in Tejas, it's 70 degrees and therefore perfectly acceptable to go spring. If there's still snow on the ground where you're going or they still have cold temps...it just won't work.

Thanks Runner Girl FL - and I totally agree, if it is warm and sunny then spring purses are totally okay. I know that by March here in Sunny FLA I will pull out all the spring time fun stuff. And because I am a purse whore I agree with Sister Buckle that we need pics :)

yeah- where are you going, what will the weather be like and show us a photo. :)

i can't do a proper assessment without that info. i take my work very seriously.

Thanks for the pic. Totally totally can use it in March (or at least I think so)

As a supreme fashionista I have to disagree with all others and say it depends on your shoes.

I think anyplace that has the word beach in its name is fair game for spring purses esp. by March. We all know you "Snow Birds" migrate to find spring early. So do spring early!!

i was gonna say- that's some pricey bag! you better use it every day at that price tag. but then you said it was a gift so forget it.

:)

Anything goes. Spring officially begins March 21 so a few days early is no big deal!

For me, I'd do it anyway...but I'm not a fashionista and have a tendency toward what I want to do...I'll wear white after labor day dang it!! :)
