Blizzard

This is a really tough day for me. It's 28 degrees (F) and snowing. Blizzarding, to be exact.
And I'm freezing. And you know how I feel about that.

I have a list of things running through my head that I could do:

Watch movies
Clean
Write my article that's due next week
Work
Sleep
Organize the pantry
Laundry
Read

But none of those seem particularly interesting. The only thing I'd really like to do is catch the next plane out of here. But good luck finding a flight to take off anywhere in this mess.

If you were stuck in a blizzard right now, what would you do?

Ooh I wish I was (I SO don't want to go to work!). I'd make something sinful like cookies, watch some favorite movies, go back to bed with my cats and read, take a bath and maybe later have some hot cocoa and watch the storm.

Sounds SO much better than going into work. Yawn.

I like to have a fire in the fireplace, listen to music, and watch the snow fall through a window.

28 degrees - I'm cold reading that. I'd recommend hot chocolate and a good book/movie.

Hope the blizzard goes away soon.

I'd shovel! I've always liked it...plus it's a good workout. ;)

Hmmm...I'd definitely have a fire in the fireplace (hope you have one) & I'd have to light some smell-good candles. Then I'd grab a blanket, a good book, one shishkabob stick & a bag of marshmellows.
I'd curl up with the blanket & book in front of the fire & roast marshmellows over the candle.
Hugs to you...that's too cold.

This is what I always do during a blizzard, okay, since it's Washington, I'll rephrase that and say "when it snows". I bake - either cookies or pumpkin bread or apple crisp or pie. I sit by the fire and read with a cup of tea. I watch the snow fall. And then, to top it off, I worry about how many days of running I'll miss.

I have to add, I have had some beautiful runs in the snow - there's nothing quite like it.

I'll trade place with ya! You can have our clear blue skies (thank goodness the rain finally stopped) and 70+ degree (oh, and don't forget the humidity) weather!
I look forward to the day when I can miss work due to a BLIZZARD!! Of course, I'd hope that my pantry was well-stocked so I wouldn't go hungry (that would be my biggest concern)! :)
