I'm so into rain

It's a rainy Saturday. We rarely get this kind of rain here. It's flooding down the gutters, overflowing in spots.

It's been raining since early this morning. It's raining hard, like Northwest rain, coming down in buckets for hours. I love it.

We don't get these days often so it makes it that much more incredible. It's not cold, so the windows are open and the rain air is coming in and making everything smell new. It's so comfortable that I had to make waffles and read the paper by the patio door (so I could hear the rain). It's so lovely that I'll wear my Saturday jeans and long sleeves. It's so nice that I will have to don my old Red Sox cap and go to the coffee shop and sit. It's so relaxing that I'll have to read a good book but not really be able to get into it because of how into the rain I am. It's so calming that I may have to just crawl back into bed for another hour. It's so... it's just so.

Sounds great! We had that type of rain here last Sunday morning. I put on some tunes, finished packing, and played in the rain for about an hour.

Enjoy.

We seldome get it, but I do love the warm rain! Mostly of course, we get the 42 different kinds of cold rain and gray, gray days. It does promote curling up with a book and a cup of tea!

Sounds beautiful! I love the smell of rain on dry parched earth - it is simply amazing.

And of course, a cup of hot tea and a nice book on a rainy day - I couldn't ask for mre.

That rain smell is one of my favorites. It's ungodly humid here - hopefully it will break soon and we'll have some lovely rain too!

Rain isn't a good thing down here in Texas. The sun just comes out right after and it's like a sauna. Ick.

I know. I got caught in it. With a new mattress in the back of my (open) pickup, no less (the mattress was wrapped of course).

Nothing better than a rain storm in summer...the warm breeze and the thundering rain. Feels tropical. However, might want to take the RedSox cap off seeing their recent game scores. UGH!!
